Tyler Technologies Buys Digital Health Department

Plano-based government software maker Tyler Technologies said on Wednesday afternoon that it has acquired Digital Health Department, a developer of software-as-a-service for the environmental health market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Tyler said the asset deal will help it enter the public environmental health market, and broaden its EnerGov enterprise permitting and licensing offering. Digital Health Department's software is used for managing health inspections, such as restaurant and food inspections, pool and recreational inspections, drinking water, vector control, daycare, campground inspection, and many other health inspection efforts. Tyler Technologies said it will hire all of Digital Health Department's employees as part of the acquisition.
