Idera Acquires WhereScape

Houston-based Idera, which develops productivity and business software, says it has acquired the software assets and related entities of WhereScape Software LTD., a developer of data infrastructure automation software. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to Idera, WhereScape will join its Database Tools business, which also includes IDERA, AquaFold, and Webyog. Randy Jacops is CEO of Idera. The company said the buy will "significantly expand" the breadth and depth of its cross-platform database solutions.
