IDERA Buys AquaFold

Houston-based database development and testing tools developer IDERA said on Wednesday that it has acquired AquaFold, a provider of cross-platform database tools. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. According to IDERA, the acquisition will help it expand its database tools business, and support the cloud and such environments as NoSQL. IDERA says AquaFold has more than 300,000 users in 98 countries, running on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
