Speedcast Sets CIO

Houston-based Speedcast, which provides managed, remote communications and IT services to the oil and gas industry, said it has named John Truschinger as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Truschinger was most recently a private consultant in the IT, executive coaching, and team building areas, and also was SVP and CIO for Transocean, among other companies. The company said Truschinger will be based in Houston.
