Mavenir Launches Rich Communications Service

Richardson-based Mavenir Systems, a provider of telecommunications tools, said today that it has launched a new Rich Communications Services supporting 3G and 4G devices. The firm said its new solution is targeted at providing a cost-effective platform for multimedia communications and social networking services. The firm said the new product supports such features as instant messaging, group messaging, contact lists, and multimedia content sharing, over 3G, LTE, WiMax, and wired broadband networks. The firm said it is demonstrating an Android-based client next month of the product.
