Entech Solar Gets Investment, Names VC as CEO

Fort Worth-basd Entech Solar, a developer of concentrating solar modules, said Monday that it has named David Gelbaum, a venture capitalist at The Quercus Trust, as the firm's CEO. Gelbaum was previously the firm's Chairman, and is a Trustee of The Quercus Trust, a major clean technology investor. Prior CEO Dr. Frank W. Smith will step down from his role, but continue to advise the company. Smith had been CEO since March of 2008. As part of the appointment of Gelbaum as CEO, Entech said that The Quercus Trust has invested an additional $600,000 in the firm.
