BigCommerce Names Startup Veteran As Chief Development Officer

Austin-based e-commerce software developer BigCommerce said Thursday that it has named Russell Klein as the company's first Chief Development Officer. Klein has been the company's Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for the last three years. Prior to that, Klein was co-founder and chairman of Librify, co-founder and CEO of SendMe, and also served at CNET Networks, and as an EIR with venture capital investor General Catalyst Partners. In addition to the new position, BigCommerce said it has hired MaryAnn Bekkedahl as Senior Vice President of Business Development, and thepromotion of Kevin McKeand as Vice President of Strategic Partners, with both reporting to Klein.
