Active Power Names CTO

Austin-based Active Power, which develops uninterruptible power supplies, said Thursday that it has appointed Uwe Schrader-Hausmann as the firm's Chief Technical Officer. Schrader-Hausmann has been at the firm since 2005, and was most recently the company's Vice President, Technical Services. Schrader-Hausmann has previously served at Piller Power Systems GmbH. According to Active Power, he will continue to serve as the company's Managing Director of Active Power (Germany) GmbH.
