ACS Buys BPO Provider

Dallas-based ACS, the outsourcing provider which is now part of Xerox, said today that it has acquired the U.S. operations of Symcor, a provider of outsourcing services for financial institutions. Financial details of the deal were not announced. ACS said Symcor provides everything from cash management services to statement and check processing for its financial customers. ACS said the buy will expand its financial services offerings, to include check and payment processing services. The buy adds around 1,500 employees and 15 service centers to ACS.
