ACS Acquires Caribbean Customer Services Firm

Dallas-based business process outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services announced Tuesday that it has finalized its $85 million purchase of e-Services Group International. On Monday, March 16, ACS revealed that it was negotiating a possible purchase of the Caribbean-based consulting and customer services firm. Based on Tuesday's report, however, negotiations seemingly were more advanced than originally intimated. e-Services employs some 4,000 English-speaking people in Jamaica and St. Lucia—locations convenient to North American businesses, ACS explained. ACS added that e-Services' revenue for the past year was some $65 million. ACS employs more than 70,000 people across the globe and services clients in more than 100 countries.
