    Calxeda Nabs $12M More As It Nears Market
    Austin-based low voltage semiconductor developer Calxeda has raised another $12M in funding, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today, as the firm is on the cusp of shipping chips for servers based on 32-bit ARM mobile processors. According to the filing, the firm is in the midst of a $30M fundraising effort, of which so far $20M was raised.     Match.com Gets Into Live Events
    Dallas-based online dating site Match.com is branching into live events, the company said this morning, and is launching a new service called The Stir. According to Match.com, the new service will bring single people together in thousands of events nationwide. The events will begin rolling out to Match.com subscribers this summer, with plans to expand to 20 U.S. cities by June.     BMC Staves Off Hostile Takeover
    Houston-based BMC Software, the developer of IT management software, is looking to stave off what looks like a hostile takeover of the company this morning. BMC said today that it has been informed that hedge fund Elliott Associates and its affiliate Elliott International, L.P., have acquired a beneficial ownership of more than 5 percent of the firm's common stock, and also said it has adopted a "shareholder rights" plan in response.     Report: GameStop To Sell MacBooks
    Grapevine-based video games retailer GameStop looks to possibly be expanding its refurbished hardware business to the sale of Apple MacBooks, according to a report from online gaming site Kotaku over the weekend.     WhaleShark Media Buys French Coupon Publisher
    Austin-based WhaleShark Media is expanding its coupon and deal empire today, saying that it has acquired a french, online coupon publisher, Miwim. Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
