Ziosk In Distribution, Marketing Deal With Time Inc.

Dallas-based digital ordering and entertainment system developer Ziosk, and publisher Time Inc. said this week that they are in a marketing and distribution partnership. According to the two, Time's celebrity, pop culture, lifestyle and sports content--including content from People, Sports Illustrated, and Entertainment Weekly--will be syndicated through Ziosk's tablet to its network of 3,000 restaurants. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The two said that they will also collaborate on advertising sales and promotions. Ziosk has its tableside tablets at such restaurant chains as Chili's and Red Robin. The company said it has more than 170,000 tablets so far, reaching 50 million restaurant patrons per month. Ziosk is led by Austen Mulinder.
