Zenoss Expands OpenStack Support

Austin-based Zenoss, the IT monitoring and analytics software developer, said yesterday that it has expanded its support for a wide range of OpenStack technologies. The company said it has added support to enable granular monitoring of such components as Ceph and Cinder Storage, Nova Compute services, and Neutron. OpenStack is the set of open standards--originally pioneered by Rackspace--which lets anyone host cloud computing services. Zenoss said the support comes thanks to its plug-ins for its product, called ZenPacks. The biggest support enhancements are for Ceph, a storage components of OpenStack, where Zenoss users can now pull out information on volumes, snapshots, volume types, quotas, and more. Zenoss is venture backed by Summit Partners, Grotech Ventures, Intersouth Partners and Boulder Ventures.
