WP Engine Buys StudioPress

Austin-based WP Engine said on Wednesday that it has acquired StudioPress, the developer of a software framework used to manage the "theme frameworks" used in the design of WordPress sites. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. StudioPress develops the Genesis Framework, which helps users accelerate the development of their websites, by providing pre-designed "themes" for their WordPress sites. StudioPress was previously owned by Rainmaker Digital LLC. WP Engine said it will use the buy to strengthen its existing Digital Experience Platform.
