Wireless Seismic Raises $19.5M

Sugar Land, Texas- and Colorado-based Wireless Seismic, a developer of a wireless, seismic data acquisition system used by the oil and gas industry, said today that it has raised $19.5M in a new funding round. The round came from Chesapeake Energy and Energy Ventures. According to the firm, the new funding will go towards scaling its manufacturing operations to meet demand. As part of the funding, Jim Sledzik joins the company's board of directors, and Gary E. Jones becomes Chairman. Sledzik is a partner at Energy Ventures. More information »
