WatchGuard Video Plans $46M Facility In Allen, Texas

WatchGuard Video, which manufacturers video systems for the law enforcement market, said on Friday that it is investing $46M in a new facility in Allen, Texas. The company will be building a new, 200,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Allen, which will handle up to 700 employees once it is fully built out. WatchGuard is currently at a location in Plano. According to the City of Allen, WatchGuard is currently "beyond capacity" at that current headquarters. The new development is split between a 140,000 square foot office facility, costing $36M, expected to open at the end of 2017, and second, 60,000 square foot space, which will cost $10M and be completed around 2022. WatchGuard Video develops in-car and body-worn camera systems for the law enforcement industry.
