VUV Analytics Gets $6.5M

Austin-based VUV Analytics, a developer of vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) absorption spectroscopy equipment, has raised $6.5M in a Series B funding, the company said Thursday. The funding was led by New Science Ventures, and also included S3 Ventures. Vivek Mohindra of New Science Ventures joins the company's board with the funding. VUV Analytics has now raised $13.5M in equity, plus $2M in debt financing. VUV is led by Clark Jernigan. The company's core market is in the fuels refining and chemicals production market, but the company is now looking to expand into other markets. More information »
