VMETRO Adds RAID Storage Devices

Houston-based VMETRO said Tuesday that it has added three new storage devices to its product line. VMETRO said that the new devices include a 3U, 16-disk storage system with up to 6.5TB of storage; a 2U system with up to 9TB of RAID; and a 4U, 48-disk system that can support up to 36TB of storage. The new devices are targeted for use with digital signal analysis and data collection systems, which are used by military, medical, and industrial systems. All of the new devices are based on Fibre Channel (FC) storage interfaces, with options for either FC of Serial Attached SCSI or Serial ATA disk drives. VMETRO is a developer of embedded computer systems.
