Vista Equity Partners Buys Marketo For $1.79 Billion

Austin-based private equity investor Vista Equity Partners has acquired San Mateo, California-based marketing software developer Marketo, the two announced Tuesday afternoon. According to the copanies, they are in a definitive agreement where Vista will pay $35.25 per share in cash for Marketo, taking the publicly traded company private. Marketo trades on the NASDAQ at MKTO.
