uControl Gets $9.0M, Makes Exec Hires

Austin-based uControl, a developer of products for the home security and automation market, is announcing today that it has added $3.9M to its latest funding round, bringing its total raised in the current round to $9.0M. The firm said the non-institutional funding came from angels, customers and partners. Along with the funding, the firm named two VPs to its executive team, including Tom Chmielewski as Vice President, Sales, and David Costilow as VP, Customer Services. Chmielewski has previously served at Rackspace, Radialpoint, CTAM, and Motive/Broadjump. Costilow has served at 2Wire, Motive, AlterPoint, Oracle, and Coopers & Lybrand. More information »
