Tyler Technologies Debuts iPad App

Dallas-based municipal software maker Tyler Technologies debuted its first iPad application today, the first the software maker said it has ever released an iPad application. The new app works with its public safety software, allowing users to view public safety incidence and first responder details on a real time map. The firm said the Apple-native app is being beta-tested by the city of Bartow, Florida. Tyler did not say if it plans more iPad applications, but said it expects that tablet technology "will transform" the way first responders and officials access information and respond to activity in the field.
