TXU Rolls Mobile Site For Home Temperature Control

Dallas-based energy provider TXU Energy said this week that it has rolled out a new, mobile web site which allows customers to control their home temperature from any smart phone. According to the firm, users of its TXU Energy iThermostat--which connects to the Internet--can now control those thermostats from their Apple iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Blackberry, and Android smart phones via the mobile site. The thermostat can be used to control heating and air conditioning remotely. TXU sells the thermostat and corresponding online service as an add-on to its retail energy services.
