TuneIn Dials Into $16M For Online Radio

TuneIn, an online music, news, and sports streaming service which has its roots in Dallas, said Monday that it has raised $16M in a venture funding round. The round was led by General Catalyst Partners, and also included Jafco Ventures, Google Ventures, and Sequoia Capital. TuneIn, which started in Dallas as RadioTime, offers up an online, Internet radio streaming service. The firm was founded by Bill Moore, who remains on TuneIn's board; the company recently renamed itself TuneIn from RadioTime, and now is based in Palo Alto, California.
