True Games Opens Austin Game Studio

True Games Interactive, a publisher of online games, said today that it has opened up a new development studio in Austin. According to True Games, which is based in California, the new studio will focus on online, free-to-play content, and will be headed by Frank Lucero. Lucero was most recently at Wolfpack Studios/Stray Bullet Games, and has also served at Midway, Point of View, Origin Systems, and Sega Interactive. The firm said it is hiring a team in Austin, and selected the city due to the "exceptional" talent pool in the area.
