TrendKite Buys Insightpool, Union Metrics

Austin-based TrendKite, which develops digital marketing and PR software, has acquired Insightpool and Union Metrics, two different social software developers. Financial details of the acquisitions were not announced. Insightpool maintains a "social influencer" database, used by marketers to track social influencers across social networks. Union Metrics is a developer of social marketing and intelligence software. Devon Wijesinghe is CEO of Insightpool, and Hayes Davis is CEO of Union Metrics. Union Metrics is based based in Austin, and Insightpool is based in Atlanta.
