TradeLive Takes On IT Equipment Marketplace

Are you an enterprise company, looking to buy or sell large amounts of IT equipment--and don't want to hassle with the one- and two-unit sales on eBay or Craiglist? Austin-based TradeLive.com recently launched a new, online marketplace aimed at corporate IT equipment sellers and buyers. According to the company, the marketplace uses a matching engine--rather than an auction bid--to automatically connect users with people offering to buy or sell equipment. The company also said it handles generating purchase orders and invoices, along with tracing transaction history. Unlike the transaction-by-transaction costs of something like eBay, the company said it offers up unlimited listings on its marketplace for high volume buyers, and operates through a membership system. The company even offers up an API so companies can automatically list equipment. The company is led by Doug Wick.
