TPG Takes Stake In CMOS Imaging Firm

Fort Worth-based private equity firm Texas Pacific Group has taken a controlling interest in a unit of computer memory manufacturer Micron Technology, Micron said this week. According to Micron, it is spinning out San Jose, California-based Aptina Imaging to TPG and Riverwood Capital. Micron said that the deal will close in the next two months; no financial terms of the deal were released.
