TippingPoint Gets Win With 3PL

Austin-based TippingPoint, a provider of network security tools, said today that its intrusion prevention software is being used by third party logistics provider Transplace. Financial size of the win was not disclosed. TippingPoint, which is a unit of 3Com, said its product was implemented alongside products from Critical Watch, as part of a vulnerability management implementation. Transplace operates a web-based service for transportation logistics management.
