TI Introduces New IP Phone Platform

Texas Instruments Inc. reported Tuesday that it has debuted an IP phone platform that will enable manufacturers to deliver cost-effective IP phones for the low-end enterprise, small-and-medium business and residential markets. TI said the latest addition to its IP phone product suite combines the company's voice-over-IP technology with its digital signal processors. The result, TI said, is the TNETV2502, a product that offers real-time signal processing, low power consumption and flexibility. TI added that the TNETV2502 could provide manufacturers with up to a 50 percent reduction in bill of materials. Texas Instruments is headquartered in Dallas.
