TI Chairman Retires

Dallas-based Texas Instruments has shifted its board composition, saying Thursday that Chairman Thomas J. Engibous is retiring following the firm's 2008 stockholders meeting April 17th. Richard K. Templeton, the firm's President and CEO, will replace Engibous as Chairman. ENgibous has been at TI since 1976, when he joined the firm after graduating from Purdue University; he became CEO in 1996. The firm said the retirement has been planned for some time. Texas Instruments is a supplier of a wide range of semiconductors to the electronics industry.
