Think Finance Boots Up Electronics Leasing Effort

Fort Worth-based Think Finance, the venture backed developer of financial programs headed up by Ken Rees, said today that it has launched a new product aimed at helping consumers lease electronic products. Think Finance said it has launched a new service, Presta, which will allow the financially undeserved to receive electronics products, making fixed payments with their debit or credit cards, and is an alternative to the long wait of options like store layaway. Think Finance said it will initially offer its program in beta in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, with products like laptops, digital cameras, televisions, Xbox 360, and Apple iPod and iPads. The firm did not say what kind of costs will be involved in the leasing program. Think Finance is backed by Sequoia Capital and Technology Crossover Ventures.
