Theatro Finds $8.8M

Dallas-based Theatro, which is developing wearable, voice-enabled mobile communications devices, has raised $5M in a Series A funding, bringing its total raised to $8.8M. The funding came from Khosla Ventures, and also included earlier backing from angel investors. Khosla's Ben Ling joins the company's board as part of the funding. Theatro, which is led by Chris Todd, said the funding will go towards sales, marketing, and its product. Theatro's device is aimed at hourly employees at retailers. More information »
