The Sterling Group Backs Acquisition Of FleetMind

Houston-based private equity investor The Sterling Group has backed the acquisition of fleet safety equipment maker FleetMind Solutions, the firm said this morning. The Sterling Group said‬ its portfolio firm, Safe Fleet, has acquired Montreal, Canada-based FleetMind for its "smart truck" products. FleetMind develops onboard computing systems used in the waste industry, to link drivers and vehicles in real time. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sterling Group said the acquisition is the seventh for Safe Fleet during its ownership. Safe Fleet is based in Missouri.
