The Riveter Eyes Texas For Female Co-Working Expansion

The Riveter, a co-working space operator which focuses on female entrepreneurs, is looking to expand to Texas, as part of a new funding round for the company, announced this week. The Riveter, based in Seattle, already operates spaces in Washington State and Los Angeles, and says it has raised $15M in a Series A funding for expansion nationwide. The company said it hopes to expand to new locations in Texas, Colorado and Portland, with those funds, which came from Alpha Edison, Madrona Venture Group, plus such angels as Annie-Marie Slaughter (New America), Liz Lange (fashion designer), and Blake Mycoskie (TOMS Shoes). The startup hasn't said exactly where in Texas it might open its first co-working space.
