The Planet Launches New Virtual Server Product

Houston-based server hosting firm The Planet said today that it has launched a new product called Server Cloud, which allows hosting companies to provision new servers for their customers. According to The Planet, the new platform allows its hosting company customers and resellers to automatically provision new virtual servers, in as little as five minutes. The new virtual server service uses the KVM – Kernel-based Virtual Machine software from The Linux Foundation, based on the Canonical Ubuntu Server.
