TextureMedia Acquired By Ultra/Standard

Austin-based TextureMedia, which operates an online, social media community focused on hair care and beauty, has been acquired by Ultra/Standard. Ultra/Standard is a provider of multicultural hair care and beauty products. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. TextureMedia operates the online sites NaturallyCurly, CurlyNikki, CurlMart and CurlStylist. According to the companies, TextureMedia had a monthly reach of 3 million people across its brands. TextureMedia was led by Crista Bailey. Ultra/Standard said that TextureMedia will remain in Austin, and will continue to operate independently.
