Texas Instruments Buys POWERPRECISE

Dallas, Texas-based Texas Instruments said this morning that it has acquired POWERPRECISE Solutions, a Herndon, Virg.-based provider of power integrated circuits. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. POWERPRECISE Solutions develops battery and power management ICs used for the consumer, automotive, medical, computing and industrial market. The firm was founded in 2002, and has 28 employees.
