TabbedOut Inks Big Deal With Payment Processing Firm

Austin-based mobile payments app developer Tabbedout has inked a big deal with payment processing giant Heartland Payment Systems, to provide a mobile payment product specifically for restaurants and bars. According to Heartland Payment Systems--which is a major provider of payment processing services to the restaurant industry--its sales force will take the new, joint solution to market via 800 relationship managers. The deal is a big one for Tabbedout, as it will dramatically expand the company's channel and on-the-ground sales force. Tabbedout's mobile software allows consumers to run their bar and restaurant tab, and pay for their purchases via their mobile phone.
