System Fabric Works Ships New Clustered Computing Products

Austin-based System Fabric Works said today that it has shipped three, new products based on the Linux operating system. The firm said that its has shipped a router, storage appliance, and scalable memory appliance targeted at the clustered server market. According to System Fabric Works, its new SystemFabricRouter provides routing of Infiniband traffic, based on Mellanox silicon; its SystemFabricStor is a 3U or 5U storage appliance using SATA or SAS drives; and its SystemFabricMem provides memory for Infiniband servers in a high performance computing (HPC) environment. All of the products are used for the clustered computing/HPC markets, which are is a technique being used by computation-intensive research and supercomputing applications.
