SURGE Energy Accelerator Opens Spring 2013 Apps

Houston's SURGE Energy Software Accelerator said Thursday that it has officially opened up applications for its Spring 2013 class, the group's 13-week program to help incubate, mentor, and help energy related software firms get funding. The firm asked applicants to fill out an application, and set up dates to visit Houston to meet the team. The program--which is open to companies from around the world--will help mentor startups and connect them with people in the energy industry, with a final presentation at an investor Demo Day to more than 500 investors and mentors from the industry. The 2013 program will be the second year of the program, which launched in 2011.
