Stream Data Centers Plans New Data Center In Houston

Stream Data Centers, a data center operator whose clients include Apple, At&T, The Home Depot, and others, is planning a new data center in Houston, the firm reported recently. The company said it has acquired 7.6 acres of land for a new, 72,500-square-foot data center. The company said it is looking to provide its services to enterprise customers, and came due to strong demand for data center space in Houston. Among features of the facility is the ability to withstand sustained 146-mph straight-line winds, dual-feed power, as well as redundant telecommunications, and 72 hours of onsite fuel storage. Stream Data Centers also said it is looking to meet LEED Gold Certification with its new facility.
