WP Engine Boosts Speeds With Google Cloud

Austin-based WordPress hosting service WP Engine says it has boosted the speed of its platform by 40 percent, due to its recent adoption of Google's cloud-based service. According to WP Engine, its use of Google Cloud's Compute-Optimized Virtual Machines (C2) has made it the "fastest infrastructure there is in WordPress today." WP Engine says it has been working over the past quarter to optimize its WordPress stack for the compute-optimized VMs by Google. WordPress is widely used to host blog and other content websites.
