Baker Hughes In Artificial Intelligence Joint Venture

Houston-based oil and gas services provider Baker Hughes is in a new, joint venture to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to the oil and gas industry, the company said this morning. According to Baker Hughes and Silicon Valley-based AI software developer C3.ai, they are in a joint venture agreement to apply artificial intelligence to the oil and gas industry. Financial details of the joint venture were not announced. According to the two, they will combine BHGE's oil and gas technology, with the AI software from C3.ai, helping to use massive quantities of data to predict problems in specific operational environments for oil and gas operators.
