Innowatts Finds $18.2M In New Funding

Houston-based Innowatts, which develops artificial intelligence software, aimed at helping energy utilities and suppliers help with load forecasting, energy risk optimization, and infrastructure planning, has scored a Series B funding, worth $18.2M, the company said Tuesday. The funding was led by Energy Impact Partners, and also included Evergy Ventures, Shell Ventures, Iberdrola, and EEI. Innowatts said the investment will help it extend application of its platform, ultimately lowering energy costs and providing a "more personalized" energy experience for consumers.
