Jungle Scout Rolls Out Amazon Supplier Database

Austin-based Jungle Scout, a provider of product research software aimed at entrepreneurs selling products on Amazon, says it has rolled out a new tool aimed at helping sellers to find suppliers for products. According to the company, its new Supplier Database tool allows sellers to search by product, by company, and by supplier, helping them find verified suppliers, match products to factories, as well as locate suppliers currently used by the big brands. Pricing on the new tool was not announced. Jungle Scout's founder and CEO is Greg Mercer. The company says it helps Amazon sellers with product research, product tracking, keyword research, competitor tracking, listing optimization capabilities, and email tools. Amazon lets third party sellers list products on it's own site, with those products being shown alongside products sold directly by Amazon.com. Amazon even offers up its logistics services, so that sellers can ship their products to Amazon warehouses, and let Amazon handle all of the logistics of sending those products to customers--for a fee.
