Cambium Learning Group Acquired By Veritas Capital

Dallas-based Cambium Learning Group has been acquired by private equity firm Veritas Capital, the companies said this morning. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Cambium Learning Group runs educational programs for at-risk and special needs students. As part of the acquisition, Cambium said it has also completed its previously announced acquisition of VKIDZ Holdings, a developer of educational technology software. Cambium Learning--which was previously majority owned by Veronis Suhler Stevenson--will also go private, and will no longer trade on the NASDAQ, effective today.
