MediaKind Wins Deal In Eastern Europe

Plano, Texas-based MediaKind, the developer of IPTV technology that until recently was known as Ericsson's Media Solutions business, reported late last week that it has been selected by Slovak Telekom and T-Mobile Czech Republic, members of the Deutsche Telekom group, for an IPTV deployment in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Financial details of the deal were not announced. According to MediaKind, its IPTV technology will go to modernize the Magio IPTV service in Slovakia, plus to launch a new IPTV service in the Czech Republic.
