Bumble Reporting Pursuing IPO

Austin-based Bumble, the online dating site which focuses on women first, is apparently pursuing an IPO, according to a report. The report--from TechCrunch--quoted Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe saying that the company is "actively pursuing an IPO". Names of bankers, or timing of the IPO, were not detailed by Wolfe in the interview. The admission by Wolfe, if correct, would be somewhat unusual, in that executives of companies pursing a public offering generally do not talk about those public offerings at risk of running afoul of SEC rules.
