pi-top, With Offices In Austin, Finds $16M For Learning Computers

pi-top, a startup developing modular computer systems which can be used to help students learn all about electronics, software, and other technology, has raised $16M in a funding round. The company--which has its U.S. offices in Austin, but is based in London--said it has now raised $22.5M in total. pi-top said the funding was led by Hambro Perks and Committed Capital. The company says its products are in more than 2,000 schools around the world, and it's manufactured more than 100,000 of its devices. The company's CEO and co-founder is Jesse Lozano.
