Newchip Nabs $2M For Investment Marketplace

Austin-based Newchip, which is starting up a marketplace for business and real estate investment opportunities, announced on Thursday that it has raised $2M in a seed funding round. The funding came from JadeValue Fintech, Yeoman’s Capital, Sputnik ATX, Youbi Capital, and Polymath. Newchip, which is led by founder and CEO Ryan Rafols, says it has created a marketplace that lets investors put as little as $100 into investment opportunities, letting entrepreneurs raise up to $50M.
